Some people with sensitive skin or rosacea may consider a spa facial after discussing suitability, while others should postpone and consult a dermatologist. Newport does not diagnose or treat rosacea or guarantee a rosacea-safe service. Share known triggers, products and clinician instructions before booking. Customized Facial, LED or hydration-focused care are discussion options, not automatic recommendations for every guest.
Tell us what sensitive means for you
Describe what you have noticed, which products or previous treatments have been uncomfortable and whether you have a diagnosis. Ask about the proposed products, heat, exfoliation and contact before beginning. Your provider may suggest changing the plan or postponing; a gentler-sounding service name does not guarantee tolerability.
When to speak to a dermatologist first
If your skin is actively flaring, symptoms are persistent or unexplained, or you need help identifying a condition, ask a dermatologist before a spa visit. Bring any relevant instructions to the appointment. Cosmetic comfort goals can be discussed once medical questions have been addressed.

Questions before you book
Does Newport treat rosacea?
No rosacea diagnosis or disease-treatment claim is made for our spa facials. If you have rosacea, discuss your care with a dermatologist and share relevant instructions with the spa. The appointment conversation is about cosmetic goals, comfort and suitability, including whether it is better to wait.
Is a customized facial always safe for sensitive skin?
No service can be guaranteed suitable for every sensitive guest. Customized Facial provides a place to discuss your needs, but the provider still needs to review your current skin, triggers, products and recent treatments. Explain previous reactions before booking and ask what the planned visit would include.
Can LED Light Facial help me choose a gentler path?
LED Light Facial can be discussed as one menu option, but it is not automatically appropriate and is not offered here as rosacea treatment. Mention light sensitivity, medications and your dermatologist’s advice. The provider should explain the service before you decide whether to proceed with an appointment.
Should I attend during a flare?
Contact the spa before coming in and seek your dermatologist’s guidance when symptoms are active or concerning. A planned facial may need to wait. Do not assume that hydration or a gentle service name makes an appointment suitable during a flare or substitutes for medical care.
What information helps before booking?
Share known triggers, past product reactions, current skincare and any relevant medical instructions. Ask about the products and steps proposed for your visit, including exfoliation or heat. If you do not yet know what is causing the sensitivity, a dermatologist can help address that question first.
