What to Do Before and After a Facial in Newport Beach

Prepare for a facial by telling your provider about your products, sensitivities, recent procedures and upcoming plans. Ask what to use before your visit and when makeup, workouts, swimming and regular skincare can resume afterward. Instructions depend on the treatment and your skin. Newport does not publish one fixed downtime window for all facials; follow the provider’s guidance.
The day before and the day of your visit
Have the names of your skincare products ready, including exfoliants and prescription products. Ask whether anything should change before the appointment; do not stop prescribed care on your own. Mention recent shaving, irritation, injectables or other treatments. Ask whether to arrive without makeup and whether your planned service needs any specific preparation.
Aftercare on the OC coast
Tell your provider about outdoor time, beach plans, saltwater exposure and workouts so aftercare fits your day. Ask about sun protection, cleansing, makeup and product reintroduction. For Nano Needling + Salmon DNA, discuss expected sensation and comfort before starting. If you are booking for an event, leave room for your individual response rather than assuming an immediate event-ready finish.

Questions before you book
Should I arrive without makeup?
Ask the spa what is preferred for your chosen appointment. Tell the provider about makeup or skincare products that have caused sensitivity and about any event later that day. Preparation and makeup afterward should be discussed together so the plan fits your treatment and individual comfort needs.
Should I stop my skincare products beforehand?
Bring a list or photos of the products you use and ask for treatment-specific preparation instructions. Mention prescription products and recent exfoliation. Do not discontinue prescribed care based on a general spa guide; your prescribing clinician should advise on medical treatment changes and any relevant restrictions.
When can I work out or go to the beach?
Ask your provider about exercise, heat, sun and saltwater for the treatment you are receiving. There is no single published waiting period that applies to all Newport facials. Explain your plans before booking so your provider can discuss suitable timing and what aftercare will involve for you.
Does Nano Needling + Salmon DNA have downtime?
The menu does not specify a fixed downtime window. Ask the provider what sensations and appearance changes to expect, how to care for your skin afterward and when to resume your usual activities. Individual comfort and response vary, so do not schedule around an assumed recovery period.
Can I book right before an important event?
Tell the spa the date and what you need to be ready for, including makeup or photography. A trial appointment well ahead of the occasion gives you time to discuss your response and aftercare. No facial can promise a particular appearance at a specific hour or event.
