Dermaplaning vs Spa Facial or Microdermabrasion
Clarify whether you want facial-hair removal, texture care or a refreshed appearance.
$30 deposit, applied toward your treatment
The short answer
Dermaplaning generally refers to a blade-based surface treatment; it should not be confused with every exfoliating facial. Newport’s current menu does not list dermaplaning. For cosmetic texture goals, discuss Microdermabrasion, Customized Facial or Radiant Refresh. These are separate services and are not offered as facial-hair removal substitutes. If dermaplaning itself matters, confirm that exact service with a qualified provider.
Start with the goal behind the term
Ask whether you want removal of fine facial hair, surface exfoliation or a brighter-looking finish. A texture-focused spa facial does not necessarily accomplish the same task as dermaplaning. Tell the provider which aspect you mean before comparing the menu.
What our menu can discuss
Microdermabrasion focuses on smoother-looking texture. Customized Facial offers a flexible conversation, and Radiant Refresh emphasizes a glow-focused cleanse and hydration. These options do not establish that a blade is used, and this page is not an offer to add dermaplaning to a booking.
What this guide cannot promise
We do not claim a dermaplaning blade service or hair-removal result from these facials. Suitability depends on your current skin and the actual procedure. Consult an appropriate medical provider about active skin conditions or medical concerns before cosmetic treatment.
Individual results vary.

Questions before you book
Does Newport list dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is not listed in the current Newport service menu. The spa’s exfoliation and resurfacing descriptions should not be read as a promise of blade-based treatment. If that specific procedure is your priority, confirm the exact service and provider before booking a facial with a different name.
Will Microdermabrasion remove facial hair?
Our Microdermabrasion description focuses on smoother-looking skin texture, not facial-hair removal. Do not book it as an interchangeable alternative to dermaplaning if hair removal is your goal. Explain your priorities to the provider, who can clarify what the listed treatment is intended to do.
How do I compare exfoliation options?
Ask about the actual steps, your current skin condition and the appearance goal you want to prioritize. Microdermabrasion, Customized Facial and Radiant Refresh are different menu paths. Do not assume that all exfoliation involves the same technique, level of comfort, aftercare or suitability for your visit.
How do I book one of these menu paths?
Use the Book button or return to the facials hub to choose the exact service and an available appointment. Review the price and terms before completing the $30 deposit in Wix checkout. The deposit is applied toward treatment; call the spa if you need help choosing.
What should I ask about preparation and aftercare?
Tell your provider about current products, sensitivities, recent procedures and any upcoming events. Ask what preparation and aftercare apply to the service you select, including makeup, exercise and outdoor plans. We do not publish one fixed downtime window for every facial; follow the guidance for your individual visit.
